Body Language

THE EYES TO THE RIGHT

Starring: A stare represents a challenge so stay clear.

Eyes clouded:Clouded eyes can be a sign of illness.  Keep an eye on your cat.

Eyes half closed: I’m tired and sleepy.

Looking at you, wide open: “I’m listening.

Blinking and winking: I like you and am talking to you.

Pupils in slits: I’m alert and confident.

Bug-eyed: Be careful as I’m frightened.

EAR, EAR

Pricked up, ready to catch sound: “I’m alert and ready for action.”

Downwards: “Be careful, I’m defensive.”

Flat out sideways: “What’s up?”

Down and back: “Watch out, I’m furious.”

TELLING TAILS

Raised up high: This is a good sign.  If the cat is approaching you, tail aloft, then it is offering a friendly greeting.

Half mast: Everything isn’t fine.

Tip twitching: “I’ve seen something an am starting to get interested in it.

Swishing violently: “I’m very angry”

GROOMING MARVELOUS

Continuous, rapid licking:”I’m nervous”

Constant, intense licking: I’m bored.

Licking you:”I love you”  N.B. This is a good time to train

PAWS FOR THOUGHT

Kneading : “I’m content”.

Stroking or Hugs: I love you.

Nagging: “Get a move on!”

Blows: A fight!
